When to replace your toothbrush and Electric brush head?
Brushing your teeth is a quick and simple way to support your oral health, remove plaque and soft debris, lower the risk of gum disease.
Over the time, a toothbrush can become contaminated with bacteria, debris, blood and saliva. For your toothbrush to be as effective as possible, it needs to have quality bristle that have not been worn down.
Toothbrushes lose their effectiveness over the time and when the bristles start to splay (spread out) they are not able to adequately remove plaque from teeth.
Dentists recommend replacing your manual toothbrush every three to four months as well as your electric brush head
Signs that your toothbrush needs to be replaced:
◉ Bristles are splayed beyond the width of the base of the toothbrush.
◉ Bristles are permanently curved.
◉ Bristles are very soft to the touch.
